Happy Diwali

5 Nov

My friend Swamiji Shraddhananda had written a blog in honor of this sacred holiday of lights from India and I wanted to say to Happy Diwali and share his sacred writing called: The Hindu Festival of Lights.  “It is also called: Deepa means light, and Avali means row. Hence, Deepavali is symbolised by rows of lights. Diwali is a New Year festival in the Vikrama calendar, where it falls on the night of the new moon in the month of Kartika.” Enjoy the read and learning of something new today.

See, the beauty of the web is getting to know other cultures and bringing more depth to our own spiritual path.

Kathy, that is truly a beautiful gift, to see this in your blog. This brings alive the spirit of Diwali as each who first learn of it and speak of it, join that line of lights.
By sharing light, you are revealing your gentle irradiance.
